Joseph Fielding McConkie

Joseph Fielding McConkie (born 3 April 1941) is an emeritus professor of Ancient Scripture at Brigham Young University. He is the son of LDS Apostle Bruce R. McConkie and Amelia Smith McConkie. He has authored and co-authored over 25 books, speaks regularly at LDS gatherings, and is married to Brenda Kempton McConkie. They are the parents of 9 children and 18 grandchildren.

Some of his students went on to become professors, judges such as William Sheffield (for whom the BYU Religious education program had created a special curriculum), and doctors.
